New Orleans Make Final QB Decision Ahead Of Thursday Night Football
The New Orleans Saints have been one of the NFL's biggest disappointments thus far in 2022, but most of that is due to the injuries that have been piling up, and it's led to a change at Quarterback, as Andy Dalton has led the team out in the past three weeks, due to the injury sustained by Week 1 starter, Jameis Winston.
Winston could potentially return in Week 7 as the Saints battle the Cardinals tonight on Thursday Night Football, but if he does, it will be as New Orleans backup, as the team was considering the idea of continuing with Dalton as QB1, and now, it has been confirmed that's the direction they are going in. With Dalton as the starter, the team has struggled overall, but they've also been missing plenty of their weapons, and today, they will have rookie Chris Olave back, alongside Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill, so this is Dalton's chance to prove he belongs as the starter going forward.A few reporting items on tonight’s #NFL game. I’ve been told, as expected, Andy Dalton is starting for the #Saints with Jameis Winston active as QB3. The #Cardinals have package of plays for newly acquired WR Robbie Anderson. Expect him for 10-15 percent of offensive snaps. pic.twitter.com/FQ9bx6KzlT

Either way, the Saints, sitting at 2-4 need to take this game against a very tough Arizona Cardinals team, and at this point, it appears Dennis Allen and the coaching staff believe Andy Dalton gives them the best chance to win, so we will see how it plays out on a potentially great Thursday Night Football matchup.
