Neck Injury To Bengals Defensive End Isn't Considered Serious
The Cincinnati Bengals have had a slow start to the 2022 NFL season, but in recent weeks, have picked it up immensely, and while that may mainly be on the back of the incredible offensive output from Joe Burrow and this talented group of weapons around him, the defensive unit has certainly improved over that time too. A big part of that is the pass rush, and today, one of the teams leading pass rushers Trey Hendrickson went down with a neck injury, which is always a major cause for concern.
Thankfully, the Bengals regard the injury as a bad stinger, something Trey has dealt with before, and while there's potential that he misses a game or so, it's an injury that isn't considered serious at all. Hendrickson was a big time free agent signing ahead of the 2021 NFL season, and he has been every bit as advertised for the team, racking up 14 sacks a year ago, with 3.5 thus far in the 2022 season.#Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson, who was ruled out today with a neck injury, suffered a bad stinger, per source. He’s had those in past and the hope is he’s back soon.

Hopefully for the Bengals chances of another big playoff run, Hendrickson can get back on the field soon, and with the more experience this team has since last year and the veteran talent on both sides of the ball, another deep playoff run could certainly be on the cards.
