Multiple Ravens Stars Miss Practice
The Baltimore Ravens face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football in Week 8, and the short turnaround may put them in a delicate spot in regard to their health. Tight end Mark Andrews, defensive lineman Calais Campbell, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, wide receiver Rashod Bateman, and linebacker Josh Bynes all missed Tuesday's practice.
Andrews, Stanley, Campbell, and Bynes are all missing their second consecutive session. All four played a relatively typical allotment of snaps in the team's Week 7 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns, so it's possible the team decided rest might suit them better than practice on a short week.Ravens practice report (Tuesday)

Not practicing: WR Rashod Bateman (not on injury report Monday), TE Mark Andrews (ankle), OT Ronnie Stanley (ankle), ILB Josh Bynes (quad) and DE Calais Campbell.
Returned to practice: CBs Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters
All four players are critical cogs in how the Ravens operate. On offense, Andrews leads the team with 455 receiving yards and Stanley is a former All-Pro. As for the defense, Campbell is a dominant inside presence along the defensive lineman and Bynes is the team's fifth-leading tackler.
On the plus side, the returns of defensive backs Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters should bode well for a Ravens' pass defense that has permitted the seventh-most passing yards in the league and ranks 20th in net yards per passing attempt allowed. The Bucs' offense has yet to take off this season, but they've still netted the sixth-most passing yards in the league. The Ravens would prefer not to be the team that finally gets the Bucs going.
