Lions Place Wide Receiver On Injured Reserve

The Detroit Lions have one of the most talented offence's in the entire NFL through six weeks of the 2022 season, and one of the biggest reasons for that is the depth of weapons they have, which has been tested in recent times with the absences of Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift. While Brown has returned, Swift remains out, and today, the team announced some even more bad news, as they had to place receiver D.J. Chart on Injured Reserve, meaning that he will be out for at least the next four weeks.

Despite the talent and offensive prowess, the Lions have been struggling to win games this year, and with rookie Jameson Williams not expected to debut for a while, this is a loss that could really hurt this young team. Chart has been out since September 25, and has hauled in just 7 passes for 96 yards and a Touchdown, and given how the production has gone down since late September, it's a clear indication of how much this team is missing its young weapons.

The Lions have a promising future, but with all the injuries and the struggles on the defensive side of the ball, the rest of 2022 isn't going to be pretty, but with solid free agent choices and a good draft, this could be a dark horse for the playoffs in 2023.
