Jets Star Offensive Lineman To Miss Remainder Of 2022
The New York Jets have been a surprise standout so far in 2022, as they have cruised to a 5-2 record through seven weeks, and have done so despite carrying plenty of injuries early in the year. Now, they are being tested even more, as on top of the torn ACL to star rookie running back Breece Hall, Head Coach Robert Saleh today announced that second year offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker will also miss the remainder of 2022 with a triceps injury suffered during the win over Denver.
This is devastating news for the Jets, who have already lost Max Mitchell, George Fant, Duane Brown (who has since returned) and Mekhi Becton to injuries, and now, they've lost their best and most versatile offensive lineman for the year. The Jets traded up in 2021 to get Vera-Tucker in the first round, and after a promising rookie year and a fantastic start to 2022, it was looking like a brilliant move, but now, their season looks to be hanging in the balance, despite the impressive record.#Jets HC Robert Saleh announced both Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker, the team’s two best and most consistent offensive players, are done for the year.

The team has plenty of fight under Coach Saleh, so there's a chance that they can continue winning games, but with so many injuries, this offence is going to struggle going forward, so now, the Jets need their defence to continue playing the incredible football they have been over the past few weeks.
