Jets Rule One Player Out; One Player In For Week 8
It's been a terrible week for the New York Jets.
Now head coach Robert Saleh has ruled out wide receiver Corey Davis for Week 8 against the New England Patriots.
Davis will miss at least one game due to his MCL sprain, making his next possible return date Week 9 versus the Buffalo Bills. That could allow for more opportunities to go the way of Elijah Moore against the Patriots, with the second-year receiver set to rejoin the team for Week 8.

Speaking Thursday, Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur said the team could consider giving Elijah Moore more snaps from the slot.
LaFleur said moving Moore to the slot would result in the team playing rookie WR Garrett Wilson more on the outside. Wilson has lined up in the slot on 53.7 percent of his snaps according to Pro Football Focus, while Moore has seen just 25 percent of his snaps come from the slot.
Whether or not this leads to more targets for Moore remains to be seen, but the Jets, regardless, have offered some of the fewest slot targets of any team in the league since Zach Wilson returned to the lineup in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
