Hall also suffered a minor meniscus injury.
He will undergo surgery and look to return to begin the 2023 season. Hall's injury is a very devastating blow for the rookie who looked to be quickly emerging as one of the best young talents in the league.
Once fully healthy, Hall will no doubt operate as the Jets' clear-cut starter once again.
Running back Michael Carter will shoulder the load with Hall out but doesn't offer the same skill and explosiveness that Hall provided.
Through his first seven games in the NFL, Hall has 463 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 80 attempts.
