New York Jets Acquire New Running Back
The New York Jets fans have finally had something and some players to cheer for in 2022, as they've seen genuine superstars emerge in front of their eyes in Sauce Gardner and Breece Hall, and just as his season was getting going, Hall devastatingly tore his ACL during the teams 16-9 win over Denver in Week 7. This left the fans in disbelief, despite their amazing 5-2 start, but now, Joe Douglas has made a solid move to replace Hall, who will likely be out until midway through the 2023 season.
It has just been announced that the Jets are acquiring James Robinson from the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have seen their own breakout season from Travis Etienne, in return for a conditional sixth round pick, which could become a fifth in the future. Robinson has been off to a solid start in 2022, running the ball for 340 yards with 3 Touchdown's, but with the emergence of Etienne, it was clear that Robinson could be had for a good price, and the Jets now have a solid secondary piece to pair with Michael Carter, who will now become the teams starter.Sources: The #Jets are making a big trade, acquiring #Jaguars RB James Robinson to help replaced injured RB Breece Hall. With two weeks to go until their bye, the Jets remain in the hunt for a playoff spot, and the more and more this defensive unit shows out, the more people begin to believe in the Jets, and while Robinson won't have the same impact that Hall did, he will be huge for this team as they look to break a decade long playoff drought.
