Jaguars Swipe Corner off Raiders' Practice Squad
The Jacksonville Jaguars added a cornerback at the expense of the Las Vegas Raiders' secondary depth Wednesday afternoon. The team signed defensive back Tevaughn Campbell off the Raiders practice squad to their 53-man roster.
The Jaguars add Campbell following their placement of starting cornerback Shaquill Griffin on injured reserve. Griffin had allowed a brutal 110.4 passer rating on throws in his direction, so Campbell may not prove a major downgrade if he works his way into the lineup. The Jaguars are signing CB Tevaughn Campbell to their 53-man roster off of the Raiders’ practice squad, per source.

Campbell has yet to see playing time so far this season, but he appeared in 30 games for the Los Angeles Chargers from 2020 to 2021, starting 11. He nabbed a single interception and broke up seven passes, but allowed mediocre 100+ passer ratings on throws in his direction in both seasons.
Campbell initially entered the league as an undrafted free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft, latching on with the Chargers after a brief stop with the New York Jets.
