Jaguars Receiver Downgraded To Out For Week 6

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the NFL's most inconsistent teams through five weeks, and a lot of that has to do with their young Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who has looked fantastic in some starts, while struggling to pick up momentum in others, but with a good chance to take a step forward in the division when they battle their rival Indianapolis Colts in Week 6, he needs to be as good as he possibly can be.

Unfortunately, the Jaguars today had to announce that receiver Marvin Jones won't be available for the game, and with a good secondary in Indianapolis to contend with, losing a veteran weapon like Jones certainly won't help their chances. Through five weeks, Jones has 18 catches for 208 yards with a Touchdown, and although he's not putting up elite numbers, he's a solid option for Lawrence, who now won't be available for the crucial clash.

Jacksonville still have Zay Jones and Christian Kirk to go along with a solid backfield pairing, but without Jones, this will somewhat limit the effectiveness of Lawrence, and if he isn't at his best, this Colts team could certainly take advantage and move forward in the AFC South.
