Injury Update On Seahawks Star WR
He exited Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers with a knee injury and did not return.
Speaking Monday, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that wide receiver DK Metcalf will not require surgery.
Carroll said that he got a ''great report'' and that Metcalf ''hurt his patellar tendon some.''
Pete Carroll tells @TheMikeSalk and @BrockHuard that DK Metcalf won't need surgery. He got "a great report" this morning that showed "he hurt his patellar some." Said Metcalf is determined to practice Wednesday, but Carroll sounded skeptical of that. Overall, he sounded relieved.

It's unclear how long Metcalf could be out for, but the good news is that he appears to have avoided a long-term injury, as the initial thought was that could be the case when he was carted off the field on Sunday.
Metcalf did say he's determined to practice this week, but the Seahawks will likely play it safe and hold him out of Wednesday's practice at least.
Through Week 7, Metcalf has 31 catches for 418 yards and two touchdowns on 52 targets.
There should be more information regarding Metcalf's status later this week.
