Indianapolis Colts Sign Kicker To Active Roster
The Indianapolis Colts have had a very strange start to the 2022 season, with a 1-2-1 record through four weeks, and with a quick turnaround and a Thursday Night Football matchup with the Denver Broncos ahead, they have made a few roster moves. Given the struggles they've had at kicker this year, it makes sense for the Colts to be looking out for a new name at that position, and on this occasion, they've promoted from within, as kicker Chase McLaughlin is now the starter in Indianapolis.
McLaughlin has kicked for five teams over his 3 year career, converting on 40 of 53 field goal attempts, and while he's not kicking down the door to be a starter anywhere else, he can build himself into a solid player one day.The #Colts signed K Chase McLaughlin to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and waived WR Dezmon Patmon — who will likely draw interest on waivers.

He's gone 3-4 from field goal range and 4-4 from XP attempts in 2022, and if he can kick at a solid pace, there's no reason why he can't solidify himself as the Colts kicker of the future. At just 26-years of age, there's plenty of time on his side too, and if the Colts do have genuine desires of making a run in 2022, they'll need McLaughlin to be solid, as well as a lot of other things falling their way in the AFC South and the rest of the AFC.
