Giants Confirm Injury To Rookie Tight End
Despite all of the injuries to this team, the New York Giants have gotten off to a 6-1 start in 2022, and while a rookie tight end may not have been a part of their plans when the season began, Daniel Bellinger has become a key piece of this offensive unit over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, during the teams late game victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bellinger was taken off with an injury, and now Head Coach Brian Daboll can confirm.
On Monday, Daboll told the press that it looks like the rookie has suffered a fracture around the eye socket and septum, and as it didn't look good, there's a chance it could require surgery, which would mean missing several games. Through seven weeks, Bellinger has accumulated 16 catches for 152 yards and 2 Touchdowns, and over recent times, has become a key part of this young offensive unit.Giants TE Daniel Bellinger suffered a fracture around the eye socket and septum, per source. May require surgery. Coach Brian Daboll said Sunday that the rookie’s eye didn’t look good.

Bellinger was becoming a big part of Giants offense in recent weeks. Would be a loss.
It's not clear yet how long Bellinger will miss, but this is yet another injury to the Giants offence, and if they can't stay healthy, it's very hard to see how they will keep this magical run going, so hopefully for their sake, this isn't an injury that will keep him out for a long time.
