Falcons Tight End Absent From Practice, Unlikely For Week 5
The Atlanta Falcons have been one of many surprises in the NFL thus far in the 2022 season, and a lot of that has been due to the offence, led by Marcus Mariota and Corderrelle Patterson, which has been electric, leading this team to a solid 2-2 record through four weeks. Unfortunately, Patterson has been ruled out for a minimum of four weeks, and after hearing that news, many thought that Atlanta would finally put more effort into unlocking their star tight end Kyle Pitts.
On Thursday however, Pitts missed his second straight practice due to a hamstring injury, and at this point in time, it's looking very unlikely that the second year stud tight end will be available for the divisional clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. No Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (hamstring) at the open to the media portion of practice for the second straight day.

Pitts' rookie year was full of flashes, and while he never put together a consistent run of dominant play, he showed everyone that he could be a star in the NFL one day. Unfortunately, through four weeks in 2022, Pitts has recorded just 10 catches for 150 yards, and hasn't made it to the end zone yet, a huge disappointment for Atlanta, their fans and plenty of fantasy owners around the world. It's not confirmed yet, but at this point, two missed practices with a hamstring is a recipe for disaster, and it looks like the team will now have to turn their focus to other weapons if they are to get to 3-2 early on the year.
