Falcons Place Running Back On Injured Reserve
The Atlanta Falcons have gotten off to quite a good start in 2022, with a 2-2 record after their upset of the Cleveland Browns in Week 4, but today, they had the unfortunate task of placing electric playmaker Corderrelle Patterson on Injured Reserve, meaning he will miss at least the next four games.
Tyler Allgeier stepped up well after Patterson went down this past week, as he added 10 carries for 84 yards, and while it's a lot to expect out of a fifth round rookie, the Falcons have no choice but to put more on his plate going forward. The Falcons have been putting up good numbers behind Marcus Mariota, and with a very winnable NFC South division ahead of them, this move may hurt, but if they continue to get contributions from everyone on this offence, they'll certainly win some more games in 2022.OFFICIAL: Falcons add to the 53-man roster as Cordarrelle Patterson heads to IR.

Cordarrelle Patterson was questionable before Week 4, and must have aggravated his knee injury during the game, as Injured Reserve means he will miss the following four games, and if the Falcons can win some games over that stretch, there's a good chance that when he's back, this team can at least fight for a Wild Card spot.
