Eagles Left Tackle Doubtful For Week 5
The Philadelphia Eagles have been off to the perfect start in 2022, with a 4-0 record and a lead in the NFC East, but in Week 5, they face a tough challenge in the Arizona Cardinals, and according to reports, they'll have to face that challenge without their starting left tackle Jordan Mailata, who is considered doubtful to play with a shoulder injury.
The former Rugby League star from Australia was brought to the Eagles and the NFL as a big-time prospect several years ago, but with amazing development, he's become a key part of this Philadelphia team, and has been tasked with protecting star QB Jalen Hurts. Mailata played 100% of the teams snaps through three weeks, but managed just 6 in Week 4, and apparently, the injury was significant enough to sideline him a week later ahead of the matchup with the Cardinals.#Eagles expected to be without LT Jordan Mailata Sunday. No surprise there. https://t.co/hReGWE6YHM

Philadelphia have built a team with plenty of depth, so they have the players to cover the left side, and as the injury isn't considered serious, there's a good chance that Mailata will be back over the next few weeks. Despite being 4-0, the Eagles have two teams in the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys hot on their trail, and if they can get Mailata healthy and stay that was as a team going forward, the team feel very confident they can stay at the top of the NFC East all the way through to the playoffs.
