Eagles Kicker Likely To Miss Week 5
The Philadelphia Eagles are off to an amazing start in 2022, with a record of 4-0, and with two teams at 3-1 in the division right on their heels, the team will need to continue this start if they are to solidify their position as a potentially dominant force in the NFC. Because the team has been so dominant on both sides of the ball through four games, they haven't needed their kicker to play an important role yet, but given how huge and impactful some kicks have been in 2022, every team needs their kicker to be on his A game every single week.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, they won't have their man this week, as it appears kicker Jake Elliot is set to miss his first game of the season with an ankle injury, leading to former Texas kicker Cameron Dicker being signed for this weekends matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.Eagles’ kicker Jake Elliott is expected to miss Sunday’s game at Arizona with an ankle injury, per sources. Eagles signed former Texas kicker Cameron Dicker to their practice squad this week and he is expected to kick Sunday. Elliott’s absence is not expected to be long term.

In 2022, Elliot is 4-5 on Field Goal attempts, and if he can keep that up throughout the year, he's going to help this incredibly deep and talented team win a lot of games. The ankle injury isn't considered serious, so it's likely that Elliot will be back over the next few weeks, and if they can keep playing the way they have, Eagles kickers will have a very good job in 2022.
