Colts Star Running Back Ruled Out For TNF vs. Broncos
The Indianapolis Colts announced on Wednesday that their star running back Jonathan Taylor will not step on the field during Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos.
Taylor had missed practice all week long due to a right ankle injury he suffered in Sunday's loss against the Tennessee Titans.
The All-Pro running back is also been nursing a turf toe injury he sustained recently that limited him in practice, but said to the media this week that his toe is in a "good spot now."
The Colts will miss Taylor, who is their leading offensive weapon, and will need him back as soon as possible before their record of 1-2-1 potentially worsens.
Indianapolis will also be without All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard due to a broken nose in addition to the concussion he suffered in last Sunday's outing. He had just made his season debut after offseason back surgery that sidelined him throughout summer camp and will unfortunately have to miss time again.
Taylor has 81 carries for 328 yards, and one touchdown in his 2022-23 campaign thus far.
