Colts Star Linebacker Officially Out For Thursday Night Football

The Indianapolis Colts suffered a loss to their division rival Tennessee Titans on the weekend, making their record 1-2-1 on the early season, and if that wasn't bad enough, the injury report coming out of the game is absolutely brutal for Colts fans. Star running back Jonathan Taylor was injured during the game, but it's the health of star linebacker Shaquille Leonard that is most concerning, as the four-time All-Pro had just made his season debut following back surgery, before having to exit the loss with a concussion issue.

Unfortunately for the Colts, who are looking to save their season after a struggling start, Leonard has officially been ruled out by head coach Frank Reich, as they look to get back to 2-2-1 with a Thursday Night clash against the Denver Broncos.

Leonard has been an absolute star for the Colts throughout his four year stint in the NFL, becoming an All-Pro in each and every season, and without him in 2022, it's become clear that Indianapolis needs their leader on defence. If no long-term issues are present, Leonard should be back in Week 6, but with the short turn around, this was the move to make, especially given the issues with Tua Tagovailoa this previous week.
