Colts Rule Out Two Players For Week 8
The Indianapolis Colts have been off to a rollercoaster of a start thus far in 2022, with a 3-4-1 record that has them firmly in second place in the AFC South, and during the week, they made the shocking announcement that second year Quarterback Sam Ehlinger out of Texas would be the teams new starter, as opposed to the veteran Matt Ryan, who has been struggling through seven weeks.
We then found out that it was due to an injury, but the team was going to go with Ehlinger anyway, and now, just days away from the teams matchup with the Washington Commanders, the team officially announced that No. 2 would be out. It's unknown how long he will be out until he can serve as Ehlinger's backup, but for now, that role will go to the veteran Nick Foles, who can step in and lead this team at a moments notice.
The other player Indianapolis have ruled out is defensive end Kwity Paye, who has three sacks and 16 tackles through seven weeks. Although he's not the biggest star on this fantastic defensive unit, but he serves a great purpose and can make an impact immediately, so even with the return of Shaq Leonard, this defence won't be at full strength in a very winnable game against Washington.Colts also ruled out QB Matt Ryan and DE Kwity Paye for Sunday’s game vs. Washington.
