Chiefs Kicker Ruled Out Again In Week 4
The Kansas City Chiefs were off to a fast start in 2022, with a dominant 2-0 start before they fell shockingly to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3, and all of this has been happening without their star kicker, Harrison Butker, who has been out with an injury suffered just days before the Week 2 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Unfortunately for Butker and the Chiefs, he won't be back in Week 4, as the team confirmed he'll miss at least one more game, but this time, they'll be turning to Matthew Wright, who they today elevated from the practice squad ahead of their clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wright has been in the league since 2018, bouncing around several teams, never quite finding a home, but in his limited time, he was able to hit 25/28 FG attempts, and now he'll try make his mark with a new squad. The #Chiefs have ruled K Harrison Butker (ankle) out for Sunday's game. K Matthew Wright was elevated from the practice squad.

It's very unlikely that anyone takes Butker's job full-time, as he's been one of the best kickers in the NFL in recent years, but if Wright can kick well, there's a very good chance he can land himself a full-time job somewhere on the back of a good performance for the AFC heavyweights.
