Chargers Star Receiver Doubtful For Week 6

The Los Angeles Chargers have got themselves off to a solid start in 2022, and with star Quarterback Justin Herbert leading the way, they have to be considered one of the favourites in the AFC, up there with the division rival Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately for LA, they've struggled keeping their star players healthy in 2022, with the biggest example of this being Keenan Allen, who is considered one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and Herbert's best target.

Allen hasn't played since Week 1, where he caught 4 balls for 66 yards, but due to a hamstring injury, he's been out ever since, and with a divisional matchup against the Denver Broncos in Week 6 looming, it appears doubtful that he will make his return this week.

According to reports, he's getting closer to a return, and even with the extra day of rest, given that matchup takes place on Monday Night Football, it appears he just can't get back to 100% for this game. The Chargers play the Seahawks next Sunday, and if everything goes well over the next 9 days, that will likely be the return date for Allen, and given the tough schedule the Chargers face, they'll need him to be healthy throughout the rest of the season if they want to fulfil their lofty expectations in 2022.
