Cardinals Work Out Speedy Former First-Round Pick

The Arizona Cardinals have been going through an absolute nightmare with this roster when it comes to injuries and suspensions, and with Hollywood Brown being the latest to go down for an extended amount of time, and they're doing everything in their power throughout this to keep giving Kyler Murray the help he needs to win.

They'll be getting DeAndre Hopkins back in Week 7 after his six-game suspension to start the season, along with trading for Robbie Anderson, and now, it appears the Cardinals aren't done, as they've worked out former first-round pick, John Ross. Ross was selected No. 9 overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017 on the back of a blistering 40-yard dash, but even with all of that speed and natural talent, he was never able to find his footing in the NFL.

Over five NFL seasons, Ross has just once eclipsed 300 yards receiving in a year, and even with 11 Touchdown catches over that time, it's hard to see him as anything but a bust. When Brown gets back to join Anderson, Hopkins, A.J. Green and Rondale Moore, Ross would be a great fit as a returner and potential WR5, but at this point, it was just a workout, and it's hard to see just how much interest Arizona would have in signing him.
