Ford was the team's primary kick returner through the first month of the season. Ford was the 156th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and had received much praise from coaches over the summer for his athleticism and pass-catching ability.
Ford suffered the left ankle injury during the team's Week 4 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and will be sidelined for at least four additional games.
The rookie had played exclusively on special teams through the first four games of the season, returning six kickoffs for 145 yards. D'Ernest Johnson is the most likely candidate to take over as the Brown's kick returner in Ford's absence.
