Bears Rookie To Make Career Debut In Week 4

The Bears, despite a lacklustre output from their young QB and the offence as a whole, have started the 2022 NFL season with a 2-1 record, and while they still don't possess a deep cache of weapons on that side of the ball, they will be getting some type of reinforcement in Week 4 ahead of their clash with the New York Giants.

Thankfully for Chicago, their third round pick from 2022, Velus Jones appears ready to make his NFL debut, and if he can hit the ground running opposite Darnell Mooney, this Bears team has a solid chance to start the season 3-1, and somehow keep pace, or even pass the Packers and Vikings in the NFC North, depending on other Sunday results. Jones was drafted as a 25-year old in 2022, with six years of experience at the college level with USC and Tennessee, where he put up over 1,400 yards and 12 Touchdown's, and there's high hopes for him as a part of this offence led by Justin Fields.

It's tough to expect Jones to come in and be a key contributor immediately, but it's what this Bears team needs, and if Khalil Herbert, starting in place of the injured David Montgomery can be as effective as he was against Houston, this could be a tough team to beat, and a very fun one to watch.
