Wild Weather Conditions In Chicago Ahead Of Week 1 Matchup
The Chicago area is known to be an interesting one when it comes to weather as the winter months roll on, giving the Bears an advantage over some Florida or Los Angeles teams, but today, it's the rain that is going to have a major impact on their Week 1 battle against the San Francisco 49ers. The rain is already pooling on the ground, with several more inches expected, and with a flash flood warning in effect, this will play a major role in the outcome of this Week 1 matchup.
The Bears and 49ers both have sold run games, and as you can see above, they'll need to utilize it, as the conditions are going to make offence through the air incredibly difficult for both teams. The conditions could clear before the 1pm ET matchup, but given all reports, it could potentially get worse, and will make this game even more interesting. The rain is pounding Chicago. Both teams have different outlooks ahead of the 2022 NFL season, but weather like this is going to bring them both back to earth, and while it won't make it an even battle, it's certainly going to give both teams a chance to win this game. The 49ers remain the heavy favourite, but it's safe to say that every player on both teams is going to have to struggle through this one to give their team the best chance to win.
