Three Crucial Stars Return at Green Bay Packers Practice
The Green Bay Packers got some good news today that should help them move on from Week 1's embarrassing 23-7 defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings. Rob Demovsky of ESPN NFL Nation reports wide receiver Allen Lazard, offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, and offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins all appeared at practice Wednesday:
The Packers passing attack stumbled badly in their season opener, so the reinforcements definitely come as welcome sights. Bakhtiari and Jenkins have four Pro Bowls between them; they should help an offensive line that surrendered four crunching sacks to the Vikings. Lazard had been hyped up this offseason as the team's number one wide receiver, and he could add some reliability to a group of pass catchers that leaned perhaps a little too heavily on rookies Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs.🏈Allen Lazard (ankle) practicing for the first time since he got stepped on two weeks ago

The Packers have a chance to redeem themselves in Week 2 in their home opener against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football. The Packers have six straight wins over their division rival, but the Bears showed some bite in their surprising Week 1 upset of the San Francisco 49ers. If Chicago can stifle Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the degree they did Trey Lance of the 49ers, they could potentially keep the game close. Should they pull off another shocking win, concerns will rapidly mount in Green Bay that the offense may not be able to recover from the departure of All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams.
