Tennessee Titans Sign Two Defensive Backs
The Tennesse Titans have bolstered their depth on the backend of their defense. The team announced they signed defensive backs Terrance Mitchell and Andrew Adams to their 53-man roster earlier Wednesday afternoon:
The transactions follow defensive back Chris Jackson's placement on injured reserve. The two signings could also signal that cornerback Kristian Fulton, who missed Week 2 with a hamstring injury, might not be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Titans find themselves in a quick 0-2 hole after a pair of gutting losses to the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills, so reshuffling their defensive backfield could help them dig their way out.The #Titans have signed DBs Terrance Mitchell and Andrew Adams to the team’s 53-man roster.

Mitchell should be a familiar face to Titans fans: he started 13 games at cornerback for the division rival Houston Texans in 2021 and even intercepted Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill in a 22-13 win. Adams started 11 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019 but receded to a backup role in 2020 and 2021 with most of his play coming on special teams and at safety. He notched a career-high four interceptions on only 370 snaps in 2018.
