Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver Expected to Play Week 1
The comeback continues for Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the receiver should be ready to go for this week's season opener against the Dallas Cowboys:
Should Godwin see the field, it will complete an amazing recovery from a heartbreaking ACL tear in week 15 of the 2021 season. His absence late in the year cost the Bucs dearly; after an Antonio Brown meltdown and injuries to Cyril Grayson, Breshad Perriman, Jaelon Darden, and Tyler Johnson, the team could only field two healthy wide receivers in the later portions of its Divisional Round loss to the Rams.#Bucs WR Chris Godwin is expected to make his return from a torn ACL today against the #Cowboys today, source said, barring no setbacks in warmups. He may be eased back, but he should play.

Godwin led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in receiving last year despite missing three games and returns as a key component to a receiving group one Buc named maybe the best ever. Should he be at the peak of his powers, the Bucs could command an offense that exceeds last year's, which led the league in passing yards and touchdowns.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday in a rematch of last year's instantly iconic NFL Kickoff game.
