Godwin started against the Cowboys today following a miraculous recovery from a late-season ACL tear in 2021. He tallied three receptions for 35 yards before exiting. His snaps will be spread across wide receivers Mike Evans, Julio Jones, Breshad Perriman, and Russell Gage.

Godwin led the Bucs in receiving in 2021, so his loss is a meaningful one, particularly given the Bucs' struggles in the red zone tonight. But the Buccaneers had been planning all offseason for Godwin to potentially sit out in Week 1, so the depth they've accumulated should hold up for at least tonight. As of this posting, The Bucs lead the Cowboys 12-3.
