Steelers Star Linebacker Return Timeline Confirmed
The Pittsburgh Steelers can breathe a sigh of relief, as their star linebacker T.J. Watt has been given some good news after his injury, as he didn't completely tear the tendon in his pec, and that means that a likely timetable for return would be six weeks, as he can avoid surgery. Watt seemed to confirm the news on Twitter today, with a simple post that should have Steelers fans excited for the season, after it seemed season ending surgery was a possibility after their Week 1 victory over Cincinnati.
Given his production in 2021, which earned him his first Defensive Player of the Year award, the Steelers were hinging the success of this defence in 2022 on the young star, and in his absence, the team has solid depth that could certainly keep them in plenty of ball games going forward.#Steelers LB TJ Watt suffered a torn pec muscle, but did not tear the tendon. That’s why, as he says, he’ll be back. It’s about six weeks of rehab, then Watt could be able to return — with no surgery. https://t.co/PJtnwu0bTS
