Ranking The 5 Best Wide Receivers In The NFL For The 2022 Season
The 2022 NFL season is upon us, and after evaluating the 2021 campaign and the following off-season, there's certainly a tier ranking at every position in the NFL, but few spots are more stacked than wide receiver. From young stars to veterans still getting it done at a high level, the wide receiver position is in good hands for the present and the future, and while there's so many people that could make this list, here is who we believe are the five best wide receivers right now in the NFL.
5. Stefon Diggs
Stefon Diggs is one of the more understated receivers on this list, but over the past 4 years he's put up over 1,000 yards per season, as well as adding 35 Touchdown's and being the No. 1 receiver for Minnesota and now the Buffalo Bills. We've seen young guys come in and put up insane numbers, and while Diggs doesn't quite have a season like Ja'Marr Chase, Cooper Kupp or Justin Jefferson, he's been consistent throughout his career, and remains one of the best receivers in the NFL.
4. Ja'Marr Chase
Ja'Marr Chase exploded onto the scene in 2021 despite criticisms when the Bengals drafted him, as he reunited with his college Quarterback and went on to put up insane rookie numbers with 1,455 yards and 13 Touchdown's, as well as being fantastic in the playoffs en route to a Super Bowl appearance. Chase has all the tools necessary to be not just one of the best receivers in the NFL, but one of the games best players in general, and with Joe Burrow by his side, there's no telling what this duo can accomplish.
3. Justin Jefferson
Somehow, Justin Jefferson slipped to pick No. 21 in the 2020 NFL Draft, just one spot behind the disappointing Jalen Reagor, and in two years, it's safe to say that Jefferson is making every team that drafted ahead of him regret passing on him. Jefferson believes he's the best receiver in the game, and after just two seasons which has seen him accumulate 3, 016 yards and 17 Touchdown's, it's hard to blame him, as it's just a matter of time before he takes over and dominates the league for years to come.
2. Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp didn't come into the NFL as a star, and had to work his way to a starting spot with the Los Angeles Rams, and after 2021 where he won the receiving triple crown with 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 Touchdown's, it's safe to say he belongs among the elite receivers in the league. Kupp started off 2022 with a fantastic performance in a losing effort, and it's safe to say that he's still getting better, and we probably haven't seen the best of No. 10 just yet.
1. Davante Adams
Davante Adams may have taken a few years to get going with the Packers, but over the last 5-years, he's been by far and away the most consistently dangerous receiver in the NFL, and in the past two seasons alone, has managed to accumulate 1,900 receiving yards and 29 Touchdown's to go along with two Pro Bowl appearances and two First-Team All-Pro selections. He moved in the off-season to rejoin his college Quarterback, and with a high powered offence in Las Vegas, he should continue on his productive ways en route to another amazing campaign.
