New England Patriots' Top Wide Receiver Expected to Miss Week 3
The New England Patriots will be without their most reliable pass catcher in Week 3. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports wide receiver Jakobi Meyers will miss his team's crucial Sunday afternoon matchup against the Baltimore Ravens with a knee injury.
Meyers joined the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and quickly established himself as a crucial cog in their passing attack. He has led the team in receiving in each of the previous two years and was on pace to do so again through two weeks of the 2022 regular season. An unrestricted free agent in 2023, Meyers could be in line for a significant pact if he can continue his steady progress and cobble together a career year. Hopefully, his injury won't sideline him for long.
Patriots’ WR Jakobi Meyers, listed as questionable today due to a knee injury, is not expected to play vs. the Ravens, per source.

Meyers did not participate in Wednesday or Thursday practices, but a limited session on Friday made him questionable for Sunday's game. He likely suffered his injury at some point during the Patriots' Week 2 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers despite playing his typical allotment of snaps. His absence will likely mean increased snaps and targets for Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourner, and DeVante Parker.
