NFL Week 1: 3 Great Rookie Performances
Week 1 means a lot of new faces in the NFL, and some make more of their opportunity than others. Here are three impressive debuts by rookies taken in this year's draft:
Travon Walker, 1 sack, 1 interception
Many were shocked when the Jacksonville Jaguars took Walker first overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, but the pass rusher proved the haters wrong immediately in the Jacksonville Jaguars' narrow loss to the Washington Commanders. Walker made a couple of critical plays, including an interception that led to a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter. If he can maximize his amazing physical tools, Walker could be a name you hear a lot of for years to come.

Drake London 5 receptions, 74 yards
The Atlanta Falcons' fifth overall pick quickly showed he could prove a great compliment to superstar tight end Kyle Pitts in the team's heartbreaking loss to the New Orleans Saints. London hauled in five of his seven targets for 74 yards at an efficient 10.6 yards per target, leading all rookies in receiving yards. If his performance against a Saints defense that allowed the fourth-fewest points in the league last year is any indication, the big-bodied receiver should only get better in the coming weeks.

Dominique Robinson, 1.5 sacks
Unlike the two top-five picks he shares this list with, no one expected much from Robinson entering the 2022 NFL Draft. The Chicago Bears edge rusher was the 174th pick after a ho-hum career for the Miami Redhawks, but he had some tantalizing raw physical ability. He flashed immediately in a gutsy win over the San Francisco 49ers, ending a pair of drives with crucial third-down sacks.
