NFL Rumors: Dolphins Could Be Down Both Starting Tackles in Week 2
Things might not be all that sunny in Miami after the Dolphins' massive 20-7 win over the New England Patriots. Pro Football Network's Adam Beasley shared that the team was down starting offensive tackles Terron Armstead and Austin Jackson at Wednesday's practice:
Dolphins have real concerns at tackle. Terron Armstead (lower body) and Austin Jackson (ankle) both not at Dolphins practice Wednesday. Greg Little is participating.

Armstead joined the Dolphins this offseason on a massive five-year, $75 million deal after nine successful years and three Pro Bowls with the New Orleans Saints. Jackson was the Dolphins' 18th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and has started 29 of a possible 34 games for the team. The Dolphins are reportedly expected to sign veteran Brandon Shell to help their depth while Armstead and Jackson recuperate.

The Dolphins had plenty of reason for optimism following Week 1's dominant win over the Patriots, but extended absences from their bookend tackles could sabotage an offense still looking to establish itself. The Dolphins only managed 307 yards and 18 first downs under third-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa despite their easy win, and that performance might not cut it against a Baltimore Ravens team led by quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 2. The Ravens defense suffocated New York Jets quarterback Joe Flacco in their Week 1 24-9 win, holding him to a meagre 4.76 net yards per attempt on his 62 dropbacks.
