New Report Reveals When Tom Brady Intends to Retire
Fans should enjoy Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady while they have him. A new story from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reveals 2022 could be the final season for one of the league's all-time greats:
#Bucs QB Tom Brady is beginning what is expected to be his final season, sources say. A look inside his 11-day hiatus that included a family trip to the Bahamas and what’s next.

The report also sheds light on Brady's mysterious training camp absence. Apparently, Brady missed practice to vacation with his family in the Bahamas, making good on a promise to his wife Gisele Bundchen. Brady shut himself off completely from football: no playbooks, no conversations, no nothing. It'll be interesting to see whether he can hit the ground running in today's season opener against the Dallas Cowboys despite the sojourn.
Should 2022 really be it for Tom Brady, he'll leave the league at or near the peak of his powers: Brady led the league in passing yards and touchdowns in his age 44-season, and many project him to do the same this year. With an endless list of all-time records and an unmatched legacy, he has little else to prove, but an eighth championship might make parting ways with the game he loves so much a little bit easier. Considering he has won the Super Bowl every other year since 2014, he's actually due for a title run.
