New Orleans Saints Running Back Returns to Practice

The New Orleans Saints got some good news today that should help them move past Sunday's bitter defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team shared that their Pro Bowl running back Alvin Kamara returned to practice today:
Kamara missed Week 2 with a rib injury suffered in the team's amazing Week 1 comeback over the Atlanta Falcons. In his absence, the Bucs pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Saints in the regular season for the first time since Week 1 of 2018. If Wednesday's practice is any indication, he should be good to go as the Saints attempt to rebound against the Carolina Panthers in Week 3.

A five-time Pro Bowler in as many years with the Saints, Kamara is one of the league's premier runners and receivers out of the backfield. He has tallied five straight seasons of 1300+ yards from scrimmage and 67 total touchdowns since 2017. His return should provide a huge boost to a Saints offense that managed 4.67 yards per play and turned the ball over five times in Week 2. Kamara has compiled 708 yards from scrimmage and seven total touchdowns in his eight games against the Panthers.
