Los Angeles Rams Lose Another Offensive Lineman
The Los Angeles Rams will be down another offensive lineman for the foreseeable future. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport announced today that the team would be placing Tremayne Anchrum on injured reserve:
Anchrum joined the Rams as a seventh-round pick out of Clemson in the 2020 NFL Draft but has seen limited action so far. He appeared in 12 games as a rookie but missed all of 2021. With Jeremiah Colone the only remaining backup guard on the 53-man roster, the Rams will likely either elevate a player from their practice squad or scour the free agent market for an addition.
Anchrum was making his first career start for the Rams, but he'll be out indefinitely following his leg injury. He had made his way into the lineup due in large part to an injury to starting center Brian Allen that had forced some reshuffling along the interior of the offensive line. Now, the Rams' depth will be stretched even further.#Rams OL Tremayne Anchrum, who was making his first start, suffered a fractured fibula and will have surgery and head to IR, source said. He’s out indefinitely.
