Jets Tackle Dealing With A Shoulder Injury
The New York Jets enter the 2022 NFL season with high hopes surrounding their young core, but after the news of Zach Wilson's availability broke yesterday, today, it appears that one of the teams veterans in former Seahawk Duane Brown will also be missing some time. The Jets tackle signed late in training camp as a replacement for another injured tackle in Mekhi Becton, and while nothing is confirmed, Brown has missed the last two days while dealing with a shoulder injury.
The Jets have a good interior offensive line, led by 2021 breakout rookie Alijah Vera-Tucker and the prize signing of Pro Bowl guard Laken Tomlinson, and while George Fant will be a positive on the outside, the Jets are very much testing their depth early in the season. Nothing has been confirmed just days away from the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, but at this point, it's looking very much like Fant will be paired with rookie Max Mitchell or veteran Conor McDermott.LT Duane Brown is being evaluated for a shoulder injury, per Saleh. He didn’t practice yesterday, not practicing today.

Ominous news. Their new $20 million tackle might not make the first game. #Jets
All isn't lost, as the Jets have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball, but if they can't give Joe Flacco time to get the ball in the hands of their young playmakers, it's going to be a very long and painful start yet again for fans of the New York Jets.
