Injured Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver Will Play Week 1

The Miami Dolphins' new-look passing attack should be on full display this Sunday. Evan Lazar of Patriots.com observed that the Dolphins had removed wide receiver Jaylen Waddle from Friday's final injury report:
Waddle missed all of preseason and a large portion of the team's joint practices with a soft-tissue injury. His return gives the Dolphins a compliment to newly acquired wide receiver Tyreek Hill for this week's pivotal divisional game against the New England Patriots.

Waddle entered the league last year as the sixth overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft and immediately rewarded the Dolphins with 1015 receiving yards on a rookie-record 104 catches. He proved particularly potent against the Patriots, hauling in two of his six touchdowns in the two Dolphins victories. Tyreek Hill has hyped himself and Waddle as potentially the fastest wide receiver duo of all time, and the Dolphins hope the pair can help the offense take a leap and make a star of their third-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The Dolphins host the Patriots this Sunday in Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season.
