Denver Broncos Sign Cornerback
The Denver Broncos are adding to their defensive backfield. The team announced this afternoon that it had signed cornerback and punt returner Darius Phillips:
Initially picked 170th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan, Phillips never quite found a consistent starting role with the Bengals, but he contributed steadily on special teams and made big plays on his limited defensive snaps, including five interceptions, three forced fumbles, and 23 pass breakups. He will likely serve as depth for a Broncos defense that allowed the third-fewest points in the league last year to go along with the eighth-fewest pass yards.

A recent cut by the Las Vegas Raiders, Phillips joins the Broncos following a four-year stint with the Cincinatti Bengals. He joins a promising cornerback room that includes Pat Surtain II, Ronald Darby, K'Wuan Williams, and Damarri Mathis.
