Cowboys Wide Receiver Will Miss Week 1

The Dallas Cowboys have been under tremendous pressure to win over the past decade, and after still failing to win a playoff game, the pressure on the shoulders of star duo Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot is almost becoming too much for anyone to handle. After trading away receiver Amari Cooper, the Cowboys were expecting rising star Michael Gallup to take his place and form a lethal pairing with CeeDee Lamb, but unfortunately, that pairing will not be taking the field together in Week 1.

Gallup, who has not been consistently practicing with the team over the past few weeks was unsurprisingly ruled out of Week 1, but according to sources, he will be back a lot sooner than most around the league think. With the Buccaneers and Bengals up in the first two weeks for Dallas, they need all hands on deck if they are to keep pace with the Eagles in the NFC East, and following that, they'll take on the Giants and Commanders in two huge divisional games, and if they struggle early, the lead in the division may already become insurmountable.

Either way, Gallup will have a huge role for the Cowboys in 2022, and they'll need to have a full array of their weapons if they are to make a playoff push in the coming year, so Dallas are hoping that Gallup will be back in the very near future.
