He won't be returning this week after all.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, wide receiver Michael Gallup will be inactive for the Dallas Cowboy's Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants.

Gallup appeared to be trending in the right direction all week, with several reports expecting him to play this week on a limited snap count. In addition, Gallup completed two full practices last week with no issue. However, the team obviously wants to play it safe in the long run, as he is returning from a torn ACL.
The good news is that the Cowboys have reported no setbacks for Gallup, so it appears they just want to give him one more week to get ready.

Barring any setbacks, the twenty-six-year-old should return in Week 4 against the Washington Commanders.
For now, wide receiver Noah Brown should draw the second most targets in the receiving game, behind Ceedee Lamb.
