Cleveland Browns Work Out Veteran Tight End

The Cleveland Browns have been in shambles this off-season, but with the drama behind them and games to play in two weeks time, it's time for the talent on the field to do their thing, and with Jacoby Brisett slated to start at QB, the Browns could use as many veteran weapons as possible. While veteran tight end Jesse James isn't going to be a game changer, he's a solid pass catcher, good run blocker and a veteran presence that this locker room needs, and as per Field Yates, today, he worked out with the team.

It isn't clear how the workout went or if James, a former Pittsburgh Steeler will be on the way to the Dawg Pound, but it would be a really good move from Cleveland. James has never been a star, but over his career with Pittsburgh, Detroit and Chicago, he's accumulated over 1,500 yards with 12 Touchdown's, all while primarily serving as a backup.

Cleveland could be a good team in 2022 after adding the likes of Amari Cooper to an already good offensive group, and while James won't be a key offensive contributor, he'd work as a solid depth addition who would be a great presence in the locker room.
