Chiefs Release Kicker
This week's horrible performance is going to cost him.
The Kansas City Chiefs have released kicker Matt Ammendola.

Filling in for Harrison Butker the last two weeks, Ammendola was very good in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers, hitting three of three field goals and both of his extra-point attempts.
However, Week 3 Ammendola was the exact opposite.
It was a bad game overall for the Chiefs, who lost to the Indianapolis Colts 20-17, and Ammendola was no exception. The twenty-five-year-old missed an extra point and then a 34-yard field goal in the fourth quarter which would have put the Chiefs up 20-13.

With Butker likely coming back for Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there's just not a spot on the team's roster for Ammendola anymore.
