Chargers QB Back At Practice Ahead Of Week 3

The Los Angeles Chargers came up short in their blockbuster Thursday Night matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, but the biggest story regarding this team following the game was the brutal rib injury suffered by Quarterback Justin Herbert, which he was able to fight through and finish the game with. It came out after the game that Herbert suffered a rib cartilage fracture, the same one that kept Saints star running back Alvin Kamara out of their Week 2 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So how likely is it that, on a long week, Herbert can backup for the Chargers battle with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday?

It's not yet been determined, but today, Herbert was a participant in practice, and while he was limited, less than a week after that injury, it shows just how tough the young QB is, and is a great sign that he'll be able to play in four days time. As of right now, the Chargers have Herbert listed as day-to-day, but if they can have him back in time for the weekend, they'll go into their matchup with the Jaguars as heavy favourites.

The fact that he was able to practice should fill Chargers fans with confidence, but if he can't go, Chase Daniel is a more than competent backup, who could help this star studded team to victory as they aim to get to 2-1 on the season.
