Cardinals Receive Good News On Injury To Star Running Back

The Arizona Cardinals pulled off an incredible comeback against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2, and one of the most notable absences from the game was running back James Conner, who we learned had an ankle injury that kept him out of the big time comeback win. Thankfully for Arizona, who's been dealing with an injury crisis at the wide receiver and secondary position, this isn't deemed a serious injury, as Conner was on the sidelines throughout the game after his injury, dressed and still ready to go.

The likelihood is that Conner will be ready to go in Week 3, and after an incredibly improbable victory, Conner should return in hopes that the Cardinals can keep up the momentum and keep pace in a very tough NFC West division. In his debut campaign with Arizona in 2021, Conner put up over 750 yards and added 15 Touchdowns on the ground, and if they are to make a deep playoff run in 2022, they need him at his very best.

When he's at his best, Conner is more than a serviceable running back, and after just 7 carries against the Raiders before sustaining the injury, he'll be fine to go this week, unless something changes drastically, which is going to be a big boost for a team that needs all the good news they can on the injury report.
