Broncos Cornerback Day-To-Day After Injury In Week 2

The Denver Broncos survived a potential upset in Week 2 to start their 2022 NFL campaign 1-1, keeping them alive in a tough AFC West division race, but it wasn't without their lumps and bruises, as two of their youngest and brightest stars were injured throughout the brutal matchup. Thankfully for Denver, they received not one, but two pieces of good news on that front today, as it was confirmed that Pat Surtain avoided a serious injury that caused him to leave the field in Week 2.

There's been no official word yet on the exact diagnosis of the shoulder injury, but the Broncos now consider the former first-round pick to be day-to-day, and given how bad it looked on Sunday, this is the best news possible. With a tough schedule over the next month, and receivers like Deebo Samuel, Davante Adams, Keenan Allan and Garrett Wilson on the way, the Broncos need Surtain as healthy as possible, and this is a step in the right direction.

The Broncos have been one of the NFL's biggest disappointments through two weeks in 2022, and if they turn it around, both sides of the ball need to improve, and with Surtain and likely Jerry Jeudy both being back likely for Week 3, they've got a very good chance to turn it around against San Francisco.
