Bears Wide Receiver Takes Shot At 49ers Ahead Of Season Opener
The Chicago Bears and the San Francisco 49ers don't intrinsically have a rivalry in the modern day, and while the result of their Week 1 matchup certainly won't create one, Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney has still stoked some competitive flames ahead of their Sunday game to kick-off the 2022/23 NFL campaign. While one team is clearly headed for more success than the other in the upcoming year, Mooney has come out ahead of this game and told the media that Justin Fields will make San Francisco regret drafting Trey Lance ahead of him.
At this point in time, neither have proven that they're difference makers at the next level, but after both going in the top-15 of the 2021 NFL Draft, they both ultimately have the potential to be great starters at the next level. It's clear though that Lance is in the better position for success, but overall, it's hard right now to give either the edge, as they've not established themlseves in the NFL yet."I know he's a dog. He's going to shine. He's going to prove everything that everybody doubted him on, especially in Week 1. That team passed on him. They're going to have to pay a little bit for that."
