Bears Place Wide Receiver on Injured Reserve
The Chicago Bears have placed wide receiver Byron Pringle on the injured reserve.
Pringle suffered a calf injury early in the game against the Houston Texans in Week 3. He left for the locker room with team trainers after a second-down play that was canceled by a penalty in the first quarter.

He had one catch for 11 yards before departing.
Pringle will be eligible to return from the injured reserve in Week 8, but the severity of his injury still remains unclear. The loss of Pringle is a tough blow to an already weak Bears receiving corps.
The Bears signed Byron Pringle this past March to a one-year $6-million deal.
